The Midtown Window Process

Our process makes sure your windows are rehabbed based on how you want your windows to work for you.

#1. Learn about the parts that make up your windows (click on the image to the right.) This way when you call we are all on the same page. Also, please review the levels of rehab here.

#2. Call the office to discuss your question regarding your windows. We will talk to you about your options and what your needs and expectations are.  We will ask you several questions to see how best to serve you.  Through this discussion we will determine what the next steps are and whether an appointment is needed.

#3. Within a day of the phone conversation we will email you a ‘What to Expect at Our First Meeting’ document. This document will help you prepare for our upcoming meeting.

#4. In our face-to-face meeting we will exam your windows to determine the condition and the amount of work required to restore them. We will also go into more details regarding the options you have and clarify what your needs and wants are.

#5. We will create a Window Proposal based on all the information that has been collected.

#6. Once the Window Proposal is completed we will meet either at your home or at our shop to go over it.  We will go through the proposal in-depth and explain how our process works if you decide to move forword with Midtown Craftsmen.

#7. At this point we have listened, designed, figured and presented you options for your project.  We can move in three directions:

a. A down payment and signing of contract.
b. Design retainer (if needed.)
c. The decision is made that we are not a good fit for each other and we respectfully and sincerely thank you for your time and interest, and wish you the best with your project.

#8.  Once the estimate is approved, a scope of work is developed along with the schedule with start dates.
